An eezyimport tip for ISF filing!

When filing an ISF, you should always try to file it using the lowest Bill of Lading available, and in case your documents state AMS number - that is the number to enter into your filing. For more information press here.

Statuses explanation

1. Approved - the Bill Of Lading is matched to the carrier’s data. You are all done!

2. Corrections needed -Wrong Bill of Lading type - This means that the BL type chosen by you is not the right type (Master/ House).

You will get an email and mobile notifications explaining the status and will need to change the BL type in your filing.

Please note, it is not enough to change the BL type, but you will also need to change the BL number to the correct BL you will be using for the ISF per shipping documents as provided to you by the carrier.

It is extremely important to correct the ISF filing and get it approved to avoid CBP penalties.

You may send our support team the documents for our overview and we will try to help you in your filing.

3. Corrections needed - Bill of Lading is not on file - This could happen for one of two reasons:

-The Bill Of Lading you entered doesn't match the carrier’s data.

-The carrier has yet to file from his side (obligated to file 48 hours before the vessel leaves the last port of origin).

At this point, the ISF has been validated and accepted by the CBP but requires correction from your side as this BL is not found in their systems.

That means that the date of the ISF filing has been registered with the CBP, and all you need to do is to correct the ISF and resend it for re-validation.
